Description: The CONTACT is another one of Extrema Ratio's streamlined blades with streamlined sheaths. However, this has not effected the strength or the integrity of the CONTACT. A well designed, well balanced, serious knife. This is the Ranger Green version with a very dark green handle, sheath and a stone ground blade. BLADE: The CONTACT's blade is a spear point sharpened on just one edge. There is a fuller (blood groove) on each side to decrease weight without decreasing its strength. Has jimping extending into the handle to give you a pressure area for better control. The blade steel is Bohler N690 cobalt stainless steel. HANDLE: Has a textured handle that has a rubber-like feel. Great if you have wet or gloved hands. Made of Forprene. The butt has a heavy pummel with a lanyard hole in it. SHEATH: To streamline the sheath, Extrema Ratio has designed the CONTACT's sheath in two sections. Your knife rides in a molded “shockproof nylon” section and this has a trigger that releases the knife for easy insertion and extraction. This section is attached to a minimized, reinforced nylon part that has a two-button strap and a thigh strap. The sheath is MOLLE compatible.
