Description: WOW! I was completely blown away when I turned this vase over and saw the Noritake backstamp. It is such a departure from the usual Noritake output. I am guessing that this is unusual Noritake vase is perhaps from the mid 20th century. The main decoration is the abstract drip glazes of magenta and white that encircle the piece. The body of the vase is glazed in shimmering blue lustre/luster. There are two examples of this vase's decoration in the first David Spain book on page 274, plate V.87. The vase is in excellent overall condition, with no chips, cracks, hairlines, fleabites or repairs. It is marked on the bottom with the standard Noritake backstamp in green, mark 27.0. The vase measures 8" high and is 3.5" wide at its widest. White spots, if any, are camera glare.
