Description: Rare Find late 1800’s to early 1900’s Ysauro Uriarte Mexican Talavera Pottery Set of 4 lobed oblong plates 12 1/2" by 9 1/4". These early Uriarte pattern pieces were heavily influenced by imported Chinese and Middle Eastern colors and patterns. These hand made plates feature a floral (and one bird) motif. These are hand formed pieces free from chips and cracks. There are some pits in the glaze from the firing process which is common with this pottery. This set was well taken care of and probably well loved by the previous owners.
