This single card, never used, is NOS, or New Old Stock, found at an estate of a passionate Bridge-playing family, who also collected all sorts of wonderful Bridge and playing cards paper ephemera for decades, was made in the USA during the 1920's-30's, when Bridge was all the rage and Bridge parties were the entertaining event to have and be invited to. The brilliant artist and American manufacturer are not known, as this, along with other identical cards, was found in an unmarked box in a closet, kept safe and in excellent condition for many decades. He's as fresh as he was when new, isn't he? We flipped over this Yellow Parrot, with his gorgeous bright coloring, gold accents, and his perch trimmed in beautiful flowers surrounding him, thought him a very unusual and very fabulous Tally Card, to say the least- his face, his beautiful golden wings, and all those Art Deco-styled flowers and intense colors- well, we couldn't take our eyes off of him! Even if you don't play Bridge, this superb, decorative piece would be so striking framed up, used to create a lovely greeting card, or even used as a very unusual Christmas ornament on your tree!
