Created by noted French medalist Pierre Turin (1891-1968). The medal is octagon shaped and may have been commissioned by the National Horticultural Society of France,circa 1926. Gorgeous piece that is signed P. Turin at base of the bust. It is blank on the reverse and ready for engraving. Measures app. 2 7/8" X 2 78" and is in FINE condition.
