Description: This locomotive is in reasonably good condition. The paint and lettering is OK. Could perhaps be improved with some weathering. The locomotive is missing its original box so we will properly re-box this with some foam and pack it carefully. We test ran this loco on 1/14/25 and she does not run. There are no apparent shorts. Keep in mind this is a tender drive mechanism which are known to be fickle. The locomotive has been sitting in a display case for decades and likely the lubricant has solidified and the drive line and gearbox will need to be cleaned, freed up and relubricated or replaced all together. She is sold AS-IS! She is still a reasonably nice display model! All vintage brass models from this time period typically need some tweaking and tuning to achieve optimal performance. Keep in mind she has a frame type motor and a tender drive. Most modelers will want to upgrade the motor/mechanism to a can or coreless motor perhaps located in the boiler leaving the tender open for possibly DCC Decoder and Speaker. Originally this was my plan but I fell into another #20 that was already custom painted for my Florence & Cripple Creek so I really cannot justify keeping this particular model. She will make an excellent addition in any collection!
