Fender Custom American Professional Stratocaster Graffiti Yellow UPGRADES Strat

Description: This is a one of a kind custom built guitar comprised of a 2021 Fender American Professional Stratocaster maple neck from a Mod Shop model paired with a 2021 Limited Edition FSR Player Stratocaster in Ferrari/Graffiti Yellow with a 3-ply White pickguard. I had a lot of fun with this build and was sort of a "what if/time warp" guitar, if you will. Just not enough Graffi Yellow Strat options setup like this. Since the Player series came out a few years ago and Fender switched to the same two-point tremolo system as the American, it would allow me to basically create one and use all of the same hardware. One of my favorite guitar series Fender has ever produced in the American Standard/American Series lines. While the current Player series necks are also 22 medium jumbo the overall feel and quality of those necks still don't compare to the American Professional which is why I chose to go with that. And while technically a "Partscaster" they are of the same model guitar and not something ridiculous like a Tele neck on a Strat body. Also since this is a Fender Mod Shop neck, it has no serial number because it's usually on the neck plate instead, which is not included. Condition wise, aside from some light signs of use and a nick here and there it’s in overall excellent condition. Along with the neck replacement I've made a complete overhaul with the rest of the components between the electronics, pickups and hardware with upgrades as I do in most of my builds that were carefully selected with intention. Please read further for more details: Weight is around 8.3 lbs -Fender 3-ply White pickguard with white knobs and pickup covers. The stock black pickguard just looked terrible on the yellow color in my opinion. Rather than going with a parchment or aged white contrast I usually like doing, I wanted to just keep it straight white across the board and it looks so clean, simple and stunning on top of the Graffiti Yellow -The stock Player pickups have been replaced with modified vintage style Vintera 50s pickups and the American Standard Delta Tone wiring. The V-Mod weren't bad but they did this weird thing with using different magnet types within the same pickups for the bass and treble strings and I just wanted a more straight forward vintage style Strat pickup. However, with most vintage style Strat pickups (and even the V-Mod ones) is that they have the vintage stagger where that the G string pole is higher to compensate for the fact that vintage strings used a wound G string and is inherently darker. On Fender's older American Standard pickups these had a lowered G string pole to compensate for most modern string sets having an unwound G string and are brighter, so this helps smooth them out more and balance the output better across the strings. The Vintera 50s pickups are basically the same specs as Custom Shop Fat 50s pickups with fiber bobbins, heavy formvar magnet wire and vintage staggered beveled pole magnets and a RWRP middle pickup but instead with PVC lead wires. The output on them is around 5.8k/2.3h neck, 6k/2.5h middle and 6.3k/2.7h bridge. What I did to modify them here is lower the G pole so that they have a modern stagger and will sound better with modern unwound G strings. I also replaced the PVC lead wires with nice Gavitt push back cloth wire. Fender makes some really nice reissue/vintage style pickups, but the majority of them are with that vintage stagger and raised G string pole which assumes you're using a wound G string. I have no idea why Fender doesn't address this and offer more "vintage style" pickups (as in the material and construction) but modified for more modern guitars. Combined with the fact most players are also playing with flatter modern 9.5" fretboards it exacerbates this high end spike even more. So this solves that problem and gives you a nice "modern" vintage style pickup which doesn't exist in Fender's catalog outside of if you requested it on a $3000+ Custom Shop guitar. Not to mention these pickups sound amazing with that vintage 50s bell like tone. -During the rewiring process, all of the cheap PVC wire was replaced with vintage cloth push-back wire. Also by reverting to the American Standard/Series modern Strat stock "Delta Tone" wiring a no-load was added, so the bridge and middle pickup share the #2 no-load tone pot and the neck pickup uses the #1 tone pot. -Orange Drop .022uf tone cap -All of the pickup and control cavities have also been shielded with copper tape for better shielding and noise reduction -American Deluxe Strat bridge plate and chromed block saddles. This is a really nice touch over the original powder coated saddles and it's also the pre-2012 version which is thicker and has better sustain -Callaham enhanced tremolo block. This is a huge upgrade over the stock block and has more sustain and noticeably nicer tone even when you play the guitar acoustically -Five tremolo springs (instead of the three it came with) -Radius'd, Sanded, smoothed and polished the bone nut and sharp edges for a more comfortable feel exceeding that of even most American Fender necks. Since this was a replacement neck, the nut needed further finishing, proper string slotting, etc. and they just come rough-in to start. This is a lot more comfortable now and better than the original neck -Fender current production lightweight aluminum Corona, CA bass neck plate. Replacing the stock F plate since it doesn't have the micro-tilt hole. These neck plates are 1/4 of the weight of the older steel ones and shave off a little weight (0.5 oz vs 2 oz) -Current production Fender American Elite/Deluxe 18:1 locking staggered tuners (with vintage style buttons) for finer tuning adjustment and stability vs the original 16:1 tuners. Unlike a full set of locking tuners which are 3x3 staggered, I changed the D string post to a short post making it 2x4 staggered and giving you a better break angle and sustain on the D string -Fender/Schaller strap locks and buttons (in the case compartment) -Fender G&G Deluxe style Hard Case (sells for nearly $300 alone) in black tolex with black leather ends and orange plush interior (key included!) On top of these upgrades, it has also been cleaned, polished and fully setup, currently strung with D'Addario EXL110 (10-46) strings with enough relief in the neck balanced for both lead and rhythm and a light touch (5/64" string height on the low E and 4/64" on the high E strings). The saddles have been perfectly intonated and adjusted to the 9.5" fretboard radius. The nut slots have been cleaned and filed for optimal contact and take off points for better sustain. The neck, middle and bridge pickup heights are adjusted to 6/64" on the bass side and 5/64" on the treble side. The tremolo has also been "decked" flush against the body for better tuning stability and sustain. I fully stand by the work and believe you'll get a much better playing and sounding guitar here because of the selection of parts/upgrades and attention to detail in the setup than if you pulled an American Standard, American Professional, Professional II, Ultra, etc. Tele off the shelf.
