Description: Fender Telecoustic from the early years. Rebuilt and refinished by amateur luthier. Corrected the known flaws for this design. Added braces to the upper bout, redrilled the bolt pattern to fit a standard Tele necks with bolt inserts. Glued a rosewood shim into the neck pocket and added a removable shim to lift the neck for better action and a higher saddle. Basic body was fine but had one small crack I fixed with wire mesh and bondo. Replaced the ketchup red color with metallic silver automotive lacquer with clear coat. Replaced the lumpy black side and back paint with a lightly textured black lacquer. Squared off the tail end of the bridge because I didn't like the way it looked. Very comfortable easy playing guitar. Has a few scratches here and there, but overall very nice. Added a maple/rosewood neck with a light lacquer finish and medium jumbo frets.
