They allow you to create isolations, push ridges up into a bar, decorate a piece, and a host of other applications limited only by your imagination. This set gives you four size options for doing different sizes of grooves or decorations, to make sure you have the right tool for the right application at the right time. These tools are forged from new 5160 spring steel. They are forged and ground without any heat-treatment. These tools are designed for hot-work and if used properly will hold up very well. 5160 is a naturally tough material and it is what I personally use for all of my fullers in my own shop.
