Description: Homer Laughlin introduced the elegant, footed Medium Rice Bowl in 2011 (which some also call a "dessert bowl"), just prior to the 5" version that came out the following year. At the time, at least, it was only sold at Dillard's department store, but my late sister, a passionate Fiestaware collector would have figured out how to get this somehow, even tho' I don't believe there was ever a Dillard's in Pittsburgh, where she lived. (Homer Laughlin China, the 150-year-old maker of Fiesta/Fiestaware, is just spitting distance from Pittsburgh, hence everyone in the region is a lifelong fan.) The exact color is tricky. Based on the colors available from 2012 on, it is only remotely similar to turquoise. But at this very moment I'm holding a piece of turquoise Fiestaware right next to it and it is considerably yellower/greener/teal-er. Frankly, I like the color; I just can't match it.
