Description: A fine oil portrait by listed artist Emil Kosa Sr. -- Kosa was a Czech born artist who painted in Southern California. This particular painting was done in Santa Monica. The woman pictured is a member of the owners family and was well known in Hollywood. I believe her name was Vera Urbanek. She came from a good family in the old country and was well connected in California. Acquired with the painting was a folder of about 20 autographed movie star portraits made out to either Vera or her husband Frank Urbanek. I will be listing the autographs in the coming days. Measurements - Frame 35" by 41", Canvas 29" by 35" Good condition. There is a heavy amount of a lacquer on reverse of canvas. It was definitely applied by artist. Local pickup Ok - Huntington Beach or Los Alamitos, CA. Signature is required is on any item valued over $500. International Buyers must have good feedback.
