Description: This is a signed Eldred Wheeler Tiger Maple Executive desk from the 1990s. It measures 64.5 inches in frontal length, 33.5 inches in depth, 30.5 inches in height, the kneehole seat area measures 29 inches wide, 24.75 inches in height. Eldred Wheeler was the premier make of Tiger Maple Furniture in the 1980s, 1990s and up to the 2000s and often copied American Chippendale forms. It is American mader by real American cabinet makers. The wood is a beautiful Tiger Maple in a golden finish so it is a beautiful desk. It came out of a summer home here on Cape Cod so it was barely used, it is in absolutely excellent original condition, as nice as they come. The Tiger Maple executive desk was probably one of the premier case pieces that Eldred Wheeler was known for. Due to the size and quality of Tiger in the wood it was one of the company's most expensive pieces of furniture. Im guessing this was probably a $20,000 piece or more when it was originally purchased back in the 1990s.
