Mercedes Dagmar Godowsky was an American silent film star, born in 1897, the daughter of composer Leopold Godowsky. Her film career spanned the years from 1919 through 1926. She starred with Rudolph Valentino and Tyrone Power, Sr., just a few of her leading men. In 1958, she published a very candid autobiography and named Enrico Caruso, Arthur Rubinstein, Charles Chaplin and Rudolph Valentino, among others, as her "great loves". Her comment when asked about the number of husbands she had, was "Two of my own, my dear, and several of my friend's". If you need additional photos, please ask. Shipped via media mail.
