Description: This 4x6 inch American Flag was flown on the first flight of the first prototype of the Boeing / DARPA / USAF X-45A Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle on May 22, 2002 and was carried aboard the Boeing X-45C Phantom Ray during its successful first flight at Edwards AFB on April 27, 2011. This flag is one of only two that were carried on both first flights! The Boeing X-45 J-UCAS was being developed as an autonomous strike platform for the USAF and Navy. The X-45A program was cancelled in early 2006 just as the X-45C vehicle was being completed. Boeing resurrected the X-45C as the Phantom Ray which made 2 successful flights in 2011.
