Description: # 10012303 Flame maple, padauk and purple heart laminated neck blank. The blank is made up of 9 pieces of wood. The center strip of flame maple is 0.60" flanked by 0.06" padauk, 0.21 purple heart, 0.06" padauk and 0.95" of flame maple. We use a modified urea resin glue for our laminated necks. It is expensive, difficult to work with, but is the best glue for the application. It is a rigid glue and works great on tropical hardwoods. The blanks overall measures 28.75 X 3.16 X 0.93". Two extra pieces of matching flame maple will be provided to extend the headstock width. The blanks are made up from kiln dried 8% MC or less stock. They are surfaced flat on both sides.
