This tape has been professionally restored by Hector P. of Vancouver, WA (well known in the 8-track community) The tape has been evaluated and pads, splice and sensing foil have been replaced as needed. Given the wild variation in build quality, cleanliness and maintenance of 50-60 year old players, there is simply no way to guarantee that a given 8-track will play perfectly on any machine a buyer chooses to pop it into. This pre-resolves any “was it a bad tape or a bad player” question that is impossible to resolve long distance. Since it’s been serviced, It will likely play fine for you. If so, consider it a bonus.
