Bound in red cloth, cover blocked with an image in gilt, green and black. 242pp. 23.6x15.7cm. No slipcase. Slight musty smell. I small stain to textblock. Otherwise VG condition. 3) "The Face of Battle" John Keegan's masterful dissection of WAR! 10 x 6.75 inches. 336 pages. Loaded with images. No slipcase. Moderate rubbing to boards and spine. A fantastic read. 4) "Bayeux Tapestry And The Norman Invasion". With an introduction and a translation from the contemporary account of William of Poitiers by Lewis Thorpe, published by Folio Society in 1973. The book covers the history of the Norman Invasion in Europe and includes 80 plates stunning illustrations. Letterpress printed! Contains a bookplate and used price and half-title page. Normal old book smell. Fading to slipcase. 5) "The Siege of Dehli". 1984. Slight cocking. Otherwise good. Has slipcase. + 6) a Penguin paperback of Keegan's "The Mask of Command." Exploring the leadership of four famous military figures through history. In slightly worn condition. Clean contents and firm binding.
