Description: Formia Murano ala Bianconi Specchi Vertical Color Bands 10"h: Gorgeous Colors! Looking up a listing for a friend asking about a Bianconi attribution and found this vase also unbranded by Formia of Murano we are almost sure. They did many vases like this one following the delicate shades of color used by Bianconi in his Specchi vases, only with broader vertical bands in beautiful colors. Easy to find examples online under Vetri Formia also from Murano, the "island of glass" in Venice. We purchased this in Italy but can't remember where, maybe in a gallery there decades ago. The colors are gorgeous in 2" wide vertical bands with some overlapping. This is a splendid vase of thickish glass with a polished bottom. Immaculate condition almost never used to our recollection. 8.5"h x 4"w. Ours was one of those households where labels were viewed like price tags and usually removed, especially the ones on the sides. Exception was for the big Venini vases we have but not listed yet for fear of shipping problems.Engraved or acid stamps were fine! We are closing this house to live abroad.
