They could grow to 20 feet, and one swallowed a 6-foot fish whole. The item for sale is a single very large vertebra, measuring by itself at about 2.5", and it weighs 3.05 oz. From the late Cretaceous, about 83 million years ago, from the Smoky Hill Chalk Member of the Niobrara Formation near Gove County, Kansas. Xiphactinus lived right alongside Mosasaurs, pterosaurs, and turtles, in the last Great Age of the Dinosaur. We are happy to enclose a COA (Certificate of Authenticity).
