Description: This is a phenomenal oversized antique print from the 1890s. It depicts a pretty fox, in wonderful hues. It is a chromolith from a high quality Ernest Nister children's book published in Nuremburg Germany. There is no copyright date, but the style of the reproduction is consistent with other 1890s Nister books I have. An inscription puts it at 1892 or earlier. I consider this series some of the finest chromoliths I have come across. PLEASE NOTE: There are stainsr or minor wrinkles in the white margin of this print (that do not cross over into the print area). There is text on the back, but the paper is so thick and heavy it doesn't show through. The page is lightly toned with age.
