France - 1599-T Silver 1/4 Franc

Description: This is a 1599-T Silver 1/4 Franc of Henry IV in F-VF condition for this type. Typically crude, struck on an unusually shaped planchet, with light cracks and scratches. Has a dark area around the date that may be solder from an old mount that was removed. That's where the bulk of the scratches are. Has really nice details and an obvious date. A hard to locate, 16th Century French coin. Weighs about 9.54 grams. Should be a great deal at our low opening bid that includes postage. Please see the photos to judge the condition of the item.
