Description: Franciscan Earthenware Apple 5" Berry/Dessert Bowl California Pottery USA This particular piece according to the mark on the bottom is probably circa 1963 - 1966According to the book I have on California Pottery. The "Apple" pattern started in 1940. "Apple's border design was embossed in-mold and hand tinted by a large staff of decorators and was one of its best sellers." In very good condition for the most part. There are 5 bowls in all. Bowl 1 main picture, no issues whatsoever. Bowl 2 bottom where kiln marks are missing glaze. Bowl 3 bottom edge has an indention. Believe was in making since glaze is over it. Bowl 4 bottom missing some glaze where kiln marks are and has indention on bottom edge, again believe was in making since has glaze over it. Bowl 5 is missing glaze on bottom where kiln marks are and there is a small gray area around a green leave on the inside and still has glaze in tact. After the picture with the measuring you can see the items I mention. They are very small so you need to look hard. NOTE: There are 5 bowls. Selling per bowl.
