This set was collected over the years from different sales and collections, so each one will vary just a bit from the other. Different artists painted and glazed these back in the early 70s. Some of them will have minor flaws, crazing, utensil scratches or even a chip or two. Some are in excellent condition. The dark spot is not a chip but feels more like a paint/glaze flaw or maybe a stain got into the crazing somehow. Does not affect mug useability. Single Cup (#2) - No chips or cracks found. I do my best to find all flaws and be upfront. Sometimes I miss things. These have been lovingly used for decades but are all still in very nice condition.
