There is lovely detailing with no monogram, repairs or alterations. The cap of the lighter has a lovely finial on the top. I do not know how to work the lighter. The cotton is there as seen, but not sure what it needs, perhaps butane or the proper fuel. The lighter has where commiserate with age I really do not see any major dense very, very tiny one where my finger is pointing . What a wonderful gift this would make or add to your collection today!
