There is slight flaking to the gilt on the top edge of the text block, as pictured. This isn't foxing or anything like that. Just tiny sporadic spots of gilt loss. The paper is actually perfect, and the entire text block is still stuck together at the gilded edges because the pages have never been separated for the first time after being treated with gold leaf during production. This is a totally unused book.
