Description: Charmentray is a commune in the Swine-et-Marne department in the “Ile-de-France”, northwest of Paris. It was the birthplace of painter Ambroise-Marguerite Bardin. It is also the location of the “Pont-Levis du Canal” which is the subject of this postcard that is credited with a “IPM” logo on the reverse and an “Edit Chambauit”on the bottom front. . I could not find any information on the publishers or the canal. The card is postmarked 1921 and is in good to very good condition with minor wear and a clean, clear image and reverse. The colors on the card may vary due to the scanner settings and screen projections.Unless otherwise noted, I use Wikipedia, Playle's and Metropostcard for research and try to be as accurate as possible. Corrections appreciated. If this your card, it will be mailed promptly upon receipt of payment......
