Description: Fire engine red enamel ware French salt box. This one has a red and white checkered pattern and is in very good condition with the expected enamel loss along the top where it attaches to the back, in spots along the bottom, and around the hang hole. See photos. The white enamel is thick and raised. Interior is a pretty red marble pattern with just a bit of rust along the joints. Dates between 1900-50.
