From New Mexico estate-Neat large painted potshard w/rounded form-used for??

Description: This neat artifact measures approx. 5 1/2" to 6" in diameter-isn't quite perfectly round. Obviously made from a much larger vessel. The edges have been purposely rounded. It has been glued together. Not sure what it was used for-ladle, scoop, small plate??? Selling this as part of a New Mexico estate that we are handling. Check our other auctions for more arrowheads and artifacts from the same estate. Most were found in the Silver City/Glenwood area, as well as the NM bootheel region. There will be more to come. We are informed by the family that this was found in southern/southwestern New Mexico many years ago by their parents. As found condition. Some artifacts may have tags or glue residue from being attached to display boards. We are not artifact experts, so please study the photos and ask condition questions before bidding.
