The AM band can help avoids the radio interference problems some people might experience with FM radios (such as with pagers), but provides the same high-quality range and performance. Channel #56.6 channels - throttle, rudder, aileron, elevator are on the gimbals, then ch.5 for the landing gear is operated by a toggle switch on top, and for ch.6 (flaps) there's a slider on the front panel.The radio has a trainer switch, two dual rate switches for the aileron and elevator, a removable antenna (storage slot in the side of the transmitter), and features a removeable/replaceable RF transmitter module. There is an access panel on the back which slides off to reveal additional switches for reversing all channels and adjusting the dual rates. The transmitter also has a metal stand which can be folded out.There is a rechargeable NiCad battery inside (aftermarket type) - it is not charged. The radio does NOT come with the AM receiver, or the battery charger. I do have the manual. The gimbals feel excellent (not damaged or stuck). The antenna is not damaged. The front and top is gold-anodized aluminum and the sides and back are black plastic. The case only has a couple of small scratches - it is in excellent condition.
