Description: Offered for immediate purchase . . . . . . is a packet containing more than fifty (50+) sorted ~ MEDIUM/LARGE Gar Scales Dyed Shades of Green ~ in the usual variety of shapes and sizes, measuring from approximately three-quarters of an inch (3/4") to approximately an inch (1") long, as shown in the contents of the sample packets shown in the photos. (Please Note ~ my Poinsettia Brooch shown in one of the photos is for illustration purposes only and is not included with your purchase.) These Gar Scales were dyed various shades of deep green on the top side and exhibit shades of deep ivory & green on the underside. Either side can be used, which provides multiple options for your creations. Hard-to-find Gar Scales like these were used throughout the 1940s to 1960s era to create flower petals for seashell jewelry, flowers, pictures, and floral bouquets. With the striking shades of these Gar Scales, they make great accents in Sailor's Valentines! And, as shown in one of the photos, these would be FABULOUS for accenting spiky Poinsettia petals!
