Description: An actual Garfield drawing hand drawn by the creator himself, Jim Davis. As you can imagine the majority of Garfield items were drawn by the very talented Paws staff artists and not actually Jim himself as he was spread too thin as it was. When I was purchasing a lot of Garfield artwork in the early 2000's I wanted items that were actually drawn by the maestro himself. This is one of those items. What would happen is licensees would come in for meetings and they would have conversations about what they were wanting to produce whether it was shirts, candles, toys, or whatever. While those conversations were going on Jim would be doodling ideas of something that would work for the licensee. Those "doodles" were scooped up by David, aka "Doc Boy" and later sold. Done in pencil. This one is one of the most detailed of any that I purchased. Featuring an idea for an ornament of Garfield with Snowman Odie, image measures approximately 4 by 5 inches. The artwork is done on 8 1/2 by 11 inch paper. Easily matted to a frameable size of 11 x 14. Any questions please ask.
