While in good condition it’s length reaches approximately 0,5 meter. Large fossils of this genus are extremely rare, as the Kraymorie formation is the only source in the world with such a quality and specimens of this caliber. This makes Campanile Lachesis highly valuable for the fossils record and several museums around the world have already taken possession of such specimens of our leadership .The fossil was restored and treated with shellac for better preservation. Gastropods which are commonly referred to as snails have been around since the Late Cambrian period. The class Gastropoda contains a vast total of named species, second only to the insects in overall number. There are 611 families of gastropods, of which 202 families are extinct and appear only in the fossil record.
