The latchbolt projects up to 20mm into the keep which increases security and gives more tolerance. It features an auto latching mechanism whereby the latchbolt automatically latches into the gate frame upon closing the gate and to open the gate one has to enter the code and turn the handle. The benefits of using this lock allow the code to be easily changed when there is a security breach and it is more convenient distributing a code that physical keys.
