Description: GB. QEII 1956. ERROR! "DOT on SHAMROCK" - 2d LIGHT RED-BROWN Cyl 10 no dot. Fine mint. The error is seen clearly on the bottom left stamp as a white mark on the Shamrock at the top of the stamp. The stamps appear unmounted mint - there is a tiny gum disturbance on the flawed stamp, but has no impact on its appearance. There are heavy hinge marks on the reverse margins. SG 543b. Listed in the SG GB Specialist Catalogue Vol 3 as S38n (Row 20/1). Watermark: St. Edward's Crown. Perf type: A (E/I). This can be seen more clearly on the close-up image - comparing the 2 stamps.
