This exquisite beauty was found in 10 feet of water under a piece of dead coral at Tamil Nadu, India, (even the names of these places sounds fantastic, ouch!) in 2019, and as the video shows, is a gorgeous, black-eyed GEM that will look terrific sitting on your shelf!. There is something about finding a cowrie under a small piece of dead coral that just takes your breath away. The shell seems to glow in the water, angels begin to sing, and before you know it, you're singing too! Almost all of the small cowries I've collected in Hawaii were found in that way, just sitting there in 12 inches of water under a small rock, at a place I could only get to at low tide. My favorite spot was a large slab of dead coral at Sandy Beach that was a pain to lift up (and often exciting, since moray eels also liked to hide under the same large slab) but checking under that slab was almost always worth the effort---helvolas, maculiferas, isabellas, monetas, pennaceus cones in the sand and more were all found under that same slab over the years. . Anyhow, this shell is simply amazing, a gorgeous beauty that will look terrific sitting on your shelf! The perfect shell for a first-class collection. As for normal disclaimers, we do the best we can with photos, but color is tricky, especially since cell phone cameras automatically lean towards flesh-tone coloring, (that's why so many of the photos of shells on eBay show up with more orange than is really there, the camera changes the color, and damm if I can figure out how to stop that from happening, but I try, honest!As for feedback, as your know, sellers live and die by the feedback you leaved, (please leave fives!) so if you have a problem, just let me know!
