Description: This is a rare picture of Gene Autry with a coiled lasso. he is kneeling and showing off a pair of expensive hand-made boots. His shirt is decorated in a movie-western tradition; he is wearing a Stetson and has an elaborate leather belt with what looks like conchos. Yes, it is signed "Gene Autry," but I have no way of knowing if a mass-produced signature counts. The picture has no words or advertising on it, so it was not the front or back of a magazine. The wood frame measures 12 x 9.5 inches. The glass has no cracks. The picture itself measures 10.25 x 7.25 inches. There is a small water stain on the blue background on the right side about halfway up. This is obviously an old picture, but I have no way of authenticating the Gene Autry signature--if it was mass-produced, does it still count? Here Autry is a handsome guy with all that western movie regalia that was popular many years ago. I have not been able to find this picture of him with the lasso on eBay, so it may be rather rare. The book is over 80 years old, and it is not in pristine condition. The cover has come loose and someone repaired it long ago...and the pages show yellowing.
