In earlier days, and now, jewelers placed tiny gold nuggets between plastic watch crystals and fastened them together with a rim and a tiny screw. This style of jewelry has endured for years, particularly in gold mining areas. Here is a beautiful way to showcase natural gold without the need for traditional manufacturing. Each pendant looks slightly different because of the tiny nuggets inside. This lovely pendant contains polished, shiny, tiny natural gold nuggets. The coin edge outer rim and top are 14k gold filled material in order to hold the cost down a bit. Please note that only the nuggets are gold, the exterior rim is a composite material called "gold filled". The display chain is not included. The nuggets inside are natural and move freely within the plastic lens holding them. Please note the front lens is faceted to add just a bit more sparkle to the piece. The round part of the pendant is 18mm across. The penny gives a good size comparison. There is no set amount of gold inside the lens, as it is filled to be visually appealing.
