Feel free to message me! * I have been collecting sea glass for over two decades, and stand behind the authenticity of my sea glass. There are more individuals selling cultured glass on eBay than not, and I am saddened by the amount of man made glass being listed as genuine. 80% of the listings that pop up after a search here on eBay, are man-made pieces that are being passed off as genuine. If you’re looking for authentic sea glass only, familiarize yourself with the history of glass colors, production years and natural tumbling times, as this will help you to authenticate a piece of sea glass. All of the most popular Sea Glass locations have been picked clean for years, and the chances of coming across pieces of Davenport glass that have been recently found, are slim. Finding Seaglass in highly populated areas, especially considering the increase in collectors, is also slim. Unlike baseball cards or jewelry, there are no places or people that officially authenticate sea glass. And because of the rise in counterfeit sellers, so many genuine sellers have left eBay as a result of the sellers who have a dozen accounts, are selling machine tumbled/acid washed glass, and are claiming to have found all of their rare pieces in places that historically, would not produce such pieces. Because there are so many new collectors, or those who have never had the opportunity to hunt sea glass themselves, a lot of people cannot tell the difference between authentic glass and cultured glass. I have been selling Seaglass on eBay for a very long time, and in that time I’ve seen dozens and dozens of sellers come and go. I've learned so much throughout the years and appreciate and love how close the group of authentic sellers are, and I am thankful for those who have helped me learn The ins and outs of selling on eBay and dealing with the fraudulent sellers. It has been a pleasure to be able to trade pieces with other collectors from all over the world. Because, without the handful of real collectors/sellers, very few would know the beauty of an authentic piece...it’s history, its journey, and its secrets. And that is what makes Sea Glass so special. Every imperfection, and every mark and divot in a piece of glass tells a story, a story that a machine tumbled piece does not have.
