Description: Beautiful and scarce Georgian Era English porcelain hand-painted oval serving bowl, made in England, c. 1796 to 1813. The bowl features a chinoiserie pattern, with allegorical figures, beautifully painted with vibrant colors and delicate floral designs. The artist's skillful depiction of birds further enhances the overall aesthetic appeal. Each stroke captures the gracefulness and beauty of these creatures, creating a harmonious blend between nature and art. Continuing with art and nature, the bowl features two twig or branch handles and most likely had a matching lid. Measures 14 1/2" handle to handle x 13 3/4" long x 7 3/4" wide x 3 1/4" high. The bowl is sold AS IS condition, note three tight, non-structural hairline cracks on rim, as well as a small chip to the foot, paint loss to handles as well as spider cracks to base (don't go through to center), not unusual for a piece of this age, otherwise paint is nice and vibrant.
