Description: Gerzit Lion Bayern Coat of Arms Crest Wall Plate West Germany Vintage Stoneware. This plate is about 7.25" diameter. It is made like heavy stoneware weighing 15.2 ounces (almost a pound). On the back are two hole in the rim of the base for mounting a hanging wire or rope. This one has green and red yarn-like string through it (see photos) which feel like a natural material, like cotton threads. There are no damages on this plate. The cobalt blue has variations in darkness depending on the amount of coverage doen at the factory. The glaze is shiny and everywhere except for the bottom edges of the base rim. I love it!
