Description: Beautiful, original Gibson L1 in excellent playing condition and overall good cosmetic condition. There are surface scuffs and scratches on the guitar which is to be expected for a guitar of this age. Overall, this guitar has been well played but well taken care of. There are no cracks or separation in the guitar wood. This guitar is in complete and original condition except for the following; the tortois celluloid on the trapeze tailpiece was replaced with mahogany as the celluloid was disintegrated, though the trapeze itself is original, the floating bridge was replaced at some point before I bought it, but profesionally done, it was professionally refretted as this was a well played instrument during its history. The guitar was profesionally set up and the action is very playable. The tone of this guitar has a deep,rich, bluesy sound which is truly amazing!This guitar comes with the super-rare original Gibson hardshell case which, overall, is in great condition except the handle is deteriorated and in need of repair.This guitar would be a great addition to any guitar enthusiasts collection. Not only is this L-1 a wonderful player, it is also an incredible piece of American music history and an investment that will only increase in value!The guitar will be very well packed to ensure safe shipping.
