It is a 19th-century piece, and I believe it is by the father of Richard Ginori, the original porcelain manufacturer. It features an armorial lion crest with Latin words Hinc Orior, which translates to "From Here, I Arise." It also features grooved channels on the interior bottom to drain the meat juices into the well. It is in very good condition overall with no chips, cracks, breaks, or repairs, or crazing with strong gold. There are a couple of small worn spots on the underside bottom. It measures 3 inches tall by 17.5 inches long by 11.75 inches deep. It weighs 6 pounds 8 ounces by itself without any packing materials. It comes with an included red felt fitted plate protector.
