Description: This gorgeous Lilac Blue Glass Duck has this wonderful color because Neodymium oxide (Nd²O³) was added to the glassmaking progress. Neodymium glass (also known as Alexandrite glass), changes color according to different lighting conditions. The glass appears lilac or pink in natural sunlight or yellow artificial light, and smoky blue in fluorescent or white light. These birds were made in Scandinavian,Czechoslovakia and Italy, unfortunately the sticker has been cleaned off so I do not know the maker but to me it feels Italian. Thank you for viewing my items.
