Description: Item Information This listing is for a Heavy Duty Deep Transmission Pan with 3 Quarts Extra Capacity for the GM 6L90, 6L90E Transmission, with a Black Powder Coat finish. This extra capacity heavy duty transmission pan was designed for 2007 and newer heavy duty Chevrolet and GM trucks and SUVs. A magnetic drain plug and all mounting bolts are included with the pan. This pan has been designed for: + Cooling - extra capacity(3 quarts above stock), fins, and aluminum construction for reported temperature drops of 10 to 35 degrees + Clearance - medium height maintains clearance + Drain Plug - on the side for safety + Secure Seal - machined flat gasket flange for a leak free seal + Strength - high quality aluminum, thick walls to add strength to the transmission housing + Fins on bottom of pan for additional clearance + Designed to work with the stock filter and the stock reusable gasket This pan has been installed on 6L90E Transmissions in 2007 and newer Chevrolet and GM trucks and SUVs, such as these vehicles: + Silverado 2500 and 3500 HD, 6.0L, 2007-2017 + Sierra 2500 and 3500 HD, 6.0L, 2007-2017 + Suburban 2500, 6.0L, 2008-2013 + Tahoe 6.0L, not hybrid, 6.0L, some models starting in 2008 + Yukon HD, 6.0L, not hybrid, 6.0L, some models starting in 2008 + Express Van 2500 and 3500, 4.8L or 6.0L, 2010-2017 + Savana Van 2500 and 3500, 4.8L or 6.0L, 2010-2017 Configurations vary so always check your vehicle. Note about stock capacity 6L90 pan: Cadillac CTS-V and Camaro ZL1, some vans and trucks with skid plates may need a stock capacity pan, which offers more ground clearance than this deep pan. In many cases, you will need to drop the exhaust to install this pan. You would need to drop the exhaust to service the transmission with the stock pan as three bolts are not otherwise accessible. You can see the filter supports that are cast into the bottom of the pan to compensate for the increased depth. The pan is designed to use the stock filter and stock reusable gasket, please make sure the gasket is clean and free of any holes or nicks to avoid leaks. The above photo shows a side-by-side comparison of the 6L90E Deep Pan vs. the Stock GM Pan. The three bosses that are cast into the pan can be machined for use with aftermarket sensors and gauges. One location is on the driver's or left side and the other two are on the passenger or right side. If you would like us to machines and tap a boss for you there is an extra $65.00 charge. The bosses can accommodate from 1/8 to 1/2 NPT. The bosses can also be used as alternate drain plug locations. In the above photo you can see the difference in depth of the Deep Pan vs Stock Pan. The above diagram shows the dimensions in inches of the Deep Pan so you can check clearances under you vehicle before ordering. If the pan or cover you receive is determined to have some kind of manufacturing defect (i.e., machining problem, leak due to porosity in pan wall), PML will replace the part. If you sell your vehicle with our part installed, we will honor the warranty with the new owner. If you run a cover or pan into a boulder and it cracks or is damaged, well, there's nothing PML can help you with there. Modifying our products voids the warranty.
