Description: Heat sink kit for use on GM cars and trucks with the small size HEI distributors. Kit includes a machined aluminum heat sink, 2 longer mounting screws, a ground wire for the module and a screw to ground the wire to the distributor base, and 2 small packs of heat sink compound. I have had several ignition modules fail due to overheating over the past several years. I have found adding a heat sink to the bottom of the distributor helps a great deal, I have not had a module failure yet on a heat sink equipped car. Installation requires drilling holes in the distributor base. Picture 4 shows both module and heat sink coated with heat sink compound. instructions picture shows ground wire, it must be installed on this screw. I will send 2 of each Phillips screws. Instructions are shown in pictures, print them out for your own reference. Does not fit V6 Fiero, new kit for them available, see my other listings. This fits the small GM distributor with approx. 4-1/16" center to center on the cap hold down screws.This distributor was used on V8 engines. 305 and 350 cu.in. Distributor not included.
