Description: First edition, 41st printing hardcover copy of Gone With The Wind by Margaret Mitchell (The Macmillan Company, 1938). A rare early printing of the first American edition, published just two years after the first printing in 1936. With original (price-clipped) dust jacket now protected in new archival sleeve, but with some rubbing/scuffing to faces and shelf wear around the edges. Chipping to most edges, especially fore edge, and faint discoloration near bottom of jacket spine. Boards are straight and clean but with bumped corners. Binding material faintly visible in a few gutters, but spine is straight and binding remains firm on the whole. Front free endpaper appears to have been torn out.
