Its a solid very nice kit with a nice antique Rose Copper and Gun Metal finish with lots of nice shine. It is really a nice kit with cool and really unique look with just the right amount of bling. It comes with and takes a standard Parker style ballpoint refill that can be found at any office supply when needed. This pen writes like a dream. Thanks for looking. The material on this pen is a beautiful, gorgeous piece of Very Nicely figured peice of Peruvian Walnut I got the blank and turned and made into this one of a kind piece. This blank just has tons of character and contrasts and just match perfectly with the Spiritual twist pen I paired it with it’s glassy smooth finish that has been sanded and polished by hand with 12000 grit micro mesh to a high luster. It then gets 12 layers of CA finish and is followed by a wet polishing process that make this just really shine and pop. Then it gets 2 layers of the world’s best, albeit very expensive but awesome friction wax. The pictures do not do this justice it is so full of color and is just a one of a kind treasure. I only make 1 or 2 pens a day and each and every one is handcraft by me in my shop. The pen you see in the listing is the pen you will receive. I will happily make a custom pen of just about any kind and from just about any wood or just about any material you could choose and because of my low volume I can get to it pretty quickly. I do not use and duplication tool so each pen is a 1 of kind original. I hand pick from over 30 species of gorgeous wood from all over the world for its grain, spalt, burl, and just unique characteristics. The pen started out in my shop as a rough piece of wood which goes through a many step process to produce a one of a kind working piece of art. Every pen that I make is different in shape, color and pattern. The pens are made from a solid piece of wood with the grain oriented to match between the two barrels of the pen. It was turned by hand on my lathe in my small shop by me. My pens are 1st quality and painstakingly made and have a really nice heft and feel and are a real pleasure to write with and the make excellent gifts but be advised that once you get one of these in your hands you wont want to part with it.
