Description: Here for sale is an original 1875 dated document for the Custom house statistics of the Hawaiian islands. I am selling this document for an estate. The previous owner was a lover of the Hawaiian islands and I will be listing for sale a few such documents from the early 1800s. I would say, this document is an excellent condition for its age no major staining a little discoloration. It is smoke-free and mildew free, and the paper is still pliable. I am also including A a little biography of W F Allen Allen served as the Collector General of Customs for the Kingdom of Hawaii from January 1, 1864 until September 19, 1884. On March 5, 1867 King Kamehameha V appointed him to his staff with ceremonial rank of Colonel. He was reappointed by King Lunalilo in 1873 and King Kalākaua in 1874. Kalākaua appointed Allen to his Privy Council on January 18, 1879.[8] After the overthrow of the Kingdom of Hawaii Allen was on the Advisory Council of the Provisional Government of Hawaii (serving as chairman in March 1894), and then the Executive Council of the Republic of Hawaii.[8] Allen's health started to fail in 1905 and he died after suffering a stroke February 5, 1906 in Honolulu.[1] If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
