Description: This is a marvellous framed and glazed Govinder Nazran Lithograph Print titled Roderick Random, which is signed by the Artist and bears an embossed Washington Green Fine Art blind stamp next to the Limited-Edition number. The frame is in good condition but does exhibit some age-related wear with some scuffs and marks and there’s no chips or cracks to the glass. The print itself is in excellent condition. The frame measures approximately 67cm wide and 50cm high. The print measures approximately 42cm by 23cm in the mount. Govinder was an artist based in Bradford, West Yorkshire who started his career as a graphic designer. He was mostly known for his paintings of animals, primarily of cats and dogs, but also of horses and elephants in his own unique style of Rothkoesque blocks of colour. Apart from painting animals, he also produced many sculptures based upon his paintings as well as figurative and totally abstract works. He has many collectors in the UK, US and Japan. Govinder died in December 2008 following an accident in his home in Saltaire.
