Graflex Shop Custom Lightsaber "Bright" version Red Button+ UltraSabers Switches

Description: Hi, everyone! Please read this listing carefully. I bought these parts brand new from The Graflex Shop and UltraSabers many years ago. The receipt says "Graflex Red Button, Bright." The red button assembly have never been installed. At the time, lightsaber building was just taking off, and the only way to get Graflex bodies was to find vintage ones. I couldn't find any and so put these parts away without ever starting on the assembly. Now, Graflex Shop is making Graflex reproductions so good that master prop maker Roger Christian is amazed. Also included are some switches that I got from UltraSabers, including a tactile (momentary) ultra-low-profile pushbutton switch and a latching ON-OFF pushbutton switch. Now, here are some important details that you should read: a) The red plastic plunger that came with the assembly is not drilled for attachment to any switch--it is totally flat on the bottom. b) Also, the red plastic plunger's outer diameter is smaller than the inner diameter of the bright chrome knurled knob, which means that the red plastic plunger will fall out of the chrome knob if it is not attached to the switch. Thus, this means that you MUST glue the red plastic plunger to the switch that you choose to use inside the chrome knurled knob. My plan was to drill it to fit the black switch (included) OR not drill it and glue it to the flat top of the tactile switch, depending on which side of the saber it was going to go on (top or bottom) and what function I wanted either button to do (power on, or select clash mode--the clash circuitry is not included). Because I never got all the parts together, I never had to make the decision which way to go. If you do decide to drill it for the black latching switch, be sure to leave enough clearance for the button to be depressed (don't drill too deep into the bottom of the red plunger, in other words). c) There is a chrome flange that was in the bag too that doesn't seem to fit anything. It might be meant to fit something inside the Graflex body that I never managed to buy. Someone on the custom lightsaber building forums might recognize what it is.
